Warren Hills board adopts 2025–26 district and board goals after NJGPA presentation

The adopted district goals direct the administration to increase the percentage of students who are “graduation ready” on the NJGPA-Adaptive Math and ELA assessments using the district’s Curriculum Monitoring and Assessment Plan and the Annual School Plan to track student growth. The board also approved a goal to implement two in-district programs to strengthen school culture and climate and a third initiative to implement the Structured English Instruction Program. That program requires certificated faculty to complete a 15-hour, self-paced training no later than May 29, 2026, with a stated target of over 95% completion among certificated and non-certificated teaching staff.
Superintendent Earl C. Clymer III reviewed a set of assessment- and compliance-related items earlier in the meeting, including the QSAC review scheduled for 2025–26, the NJSLA adaptive fall test, and the posting for a middle-school test coordinator. Board members said the goals are meant to orient district planning for curriculum monitoring, professional development, and student supports.
The motion to adopt the district and board goals was made by board member Molly Fraumeni and seconded by Lisa Marshall; the minutes record the motion as adopted with full board consent. The board did not set new funding amounts in the motion; next steps identified in board discussion point to staff implementation and the monitoring of progress through existing assessment and curriculum processes.
The board will review implementation and staff completion of the Structured English Instruction training before the May 29, 2026 deadline.
