Teaneck board approves claims and payroll, accepts grants and OKs several contracts and settlements

The board also approved payroll for Nov. 1–30, 2025 totaling $5,140,013.28. Both items were listed as routine finance resolutions and adopted by roll‑call vote.
The board accepted multiple grants and awards: a $5,000 Arts Lab program for Benjamin Franklin Middle School, two Confidence Closet Initiative grants ($3,150 each) for two middle schools and other small nonpublic and Title‑funded professional development allocations. It also approved the purchase of Uniframe cafeteria tables for Thomas Jefferson Middle School at a cooperative price of $79,053.27 (ESCNJ contract) and authorized disposal of two out‑of‑service vans for $150 each through Apache Auto Wreckers.
Under contracted services, the board approved an agreement with the Behavioral Care Center of New Jersey for tiered behavioral‑support training, on‑site coaching and BIP development at an amount not to exceed $46,000 (CCEIS/IDEA funded). The board also approved settlements with parents for out‑of‑district placements to Sinai for two students: each settlement provides $105,000 for 2025–26, $106,000 for 2026–27, and $107,000 for 2027–28; motions to approve those stipulations were adopted by the board.
Board members emphasized these approvals do not, in most cases, represent changes to policy or the district operating budget beyond the specific contract, grant or settlement amounts recorded in the minutes. The board recorded roll‑call votes for the finance, contract and settlement items.
