The Collingswood Board of Education approved a set of organizational items at its reorganization meeting, including the 2025 meeting schedule, adoption of current policies and job descriptions, and several appointments to external organizations and district roles.
On the superintendent's recommendation, the board adopted the district's existing policies and bylaws and adopted job descriptions currently in use. The board then approved the recommended 2025 calendar, noting the published schedule advertises a 6:00 p.m. closed session start with a 6:30 p.m. public session in the high school cafetorium on most fourth Mondays, and clarified that the earlier closed-session time is advertised in case it is needed rather than indicating a closed session will occur at every meeting.
The board approved continuation of services provided by the Camden County Educational Services Commission for 2025 and named Mr Craig as the district's representative with Miss Seltzer as alternate. The board also appointed Beth Anne Coleman as the public agency compliance officer (PACO) for the 2025–2026 school year; the appointment was approved by roll-call vote.
Board members asked procedural clarifications (for example, whether a closed session advertised at 6:00 p.m. will occur at every meeting) and received the response that the 6:00 p.m. time is published to allow flexibility if a closed session is required. The board indicated that committee appointment forms would be circulated to members to rank committee preferences.
The actions were recorded by roll-call and entered into the meeting minutes.
