Butler Board approves $1.78 million in bills, accepts ESEA grants and OKs $24,200 parent transportation agreement

The Butler Board of Education on Aug. 28 approved financial and grant actions including a bills-and-claims report of $1,780,885.65, the district’s FY2026 ESEA Consolidated Grant submissions totaling $170,496, and a parent transportation agreement of $24,200.
During the finance portion of the meeting, Finance Committee Chair C. Ziegler moved the slate of FIN motions (FIN 13-26 through FIN 19-26) and M. Gogel seconded. The motions carried on recorded roll call (minutes list approvals with no recorded oppositions for the principal finance motions).
Why it matters: the board’s approvals authorize expenditures, confirm federal grant applications and accept awards that fund staff allocations, professional development and special education placements for the coming year.
