Butler schools earn national recognitions; athletic director honored

The middle school received a national "Schools to Watch" designation for academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and organizational practices. The district was also recognized as a CharacterStrong Spotlight District for its social-emotional/character development work.
The Superintendent singled out Athletic Director Derek Hall, who was named NJIC Athletic Director of the Year by the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference; the minutes noted the honor is peer selected and recognizes leadership in equitable athletics administration.
Board members acknowledged the recognitions as part of the Superintendent's report; the minutes record no further action was required.
