Spring Lake Heights swears in two police officers and recognizes retirements and junior firefighters

At the June 1 meeting the council welcomed and had Judge Colin Quinn swear in two new police officers, acknowledged two recent retirements from the police department and congratulated three junior firefighters who completed the Monmouth County program.
The Spring Lake Heights Borough Council held a short ceremony June 1 to welcome two newly hired police officers and recognize personnel milestones. Council President William Graetz welcomed newly hired Patrolman Luke McGill and Patrolwoman Madison Noon. Chief of Police Ed Gunnell described the interview process and selection of the two candidates and Judge Colin Quinn administered the oaths of office.
Councilwoman Michele Degnan-Spang thanked recently retired officers Christopher Bennett and Travis Ventimiglia for their years of service. Council President Graetz also congratulated three local junior firefighters — Aiden Graetz, Colin Willms and Kaliegh Jones — for completing the Monmouth County Junior Fire Academy.
An organizational photograph of the Spring Lake Heights Police Department followed the swearing-in. There was no further personnel business recorded at the meeting.
