Tabernacle board approves YMCA contract, financial reports and substitute nurse rate increase

The Tabernacle Township Board of Education on Jan. 20 certified its November 2025 financial reports and approved a slate of routine financial items, including a three-year contract with the YMCA of the Pines to provide the district’s extended child care program.
During the meeting the board approved the Board Secretary’s and Treasurer’s reports for November, multiple check runs totaling $381, ..... [amounts listed in minutes were $35,605.99; $39,060.54; $281,942.31; $23,540.00], and payrolls for Dec. 31, 2025 ($387,080.90) and Jan. 15, 2026 ($386,745.41). The board also approved the Cafeteria report and related check run ($27,211.30).
The board approved a 2026–2029 extended child care contract with the YMCA of the Pines. The contract lists rental revenue to the district of $14,000 for 2026–2027 and 2027–2028 and $15,000 for 2028–2029.
Members also voted to increase the substitute nurse daily rate to $200, effective Jan. 21, 2026, as listed on the agenda. The meeting record shows the financial motions were moved by Mr. Greg Casterioto and seconded by Dr. Kevin McCloy and were approved by roll call.
Other approved financial items included line-item transfer adjustments for November, the bond referendum cash report, the approval of contracts for therapeutic services (Pro Care Therapy, not to exceed $115 per hour) and the First Children Learning Services LLC Therapeutic Services Agreement, board-authorized tuition for one Woodland Township student (tuition $10,000, prorated), and several facilities usage requests.
No public action was reported for matters discussed during the later closed session. The board adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
