Ingham County commissioners adopt a range of resolutions: health-department grant adjustments, contract extensions and proclamations

The Ingham County Board of Commissioners on June 9 adopted a broad consent agenda and several individual items, including changes to public-health funding and contracts, routine procurement and road-project authorizations, and ceremonial resolutions.
Public health and finance: the Board authorized MDHHS Amendment #4 to the 2025–26 Master Agreement (Resolution #26-301), which adjusts line items including a $138,609 increase for Public Health Infrastructure and a $15,000 addition for MINP staffing cost assistance. The Board also extended Jehmz Consulting accounting services through Sept. 30, 2026 for up to $25,000 and amended the Health Department’s interim CFO contract with ProNexus, LLC by $160,000 to a not-to-exceed $450,000 through Sept. 30, 2026 (Resolution #26-306).
Facilities and public safety projects: the Board approved engineering and design agreements (including Clark Dietz for Okemos Road design and DLZ for additional environmental services on Kinneville Road bridge), authorized a roof renewal at the 9-1-1 Call Center (Garland/DBS, Inc., total not to exceed $283,503), and approved several Road Department procurement and contract amendments.
Ceremonial and appointments: the Board adopted a proclamation recognizing June 2026 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month after an amendment; that resolution passed with one recorded dissent (Commissioner Schafer). The Board also appointed Peter Wood to the Racial Equity Task Force and William Floyd to the Fair Board.
Financial and administrative actions: the Board approved multiple capital and operating purchases and transfers, including additional housing program appropriations, parks construction and equipment repairs, and routine fairgrounds contracts. Claims approved at the meeting totaled $22,984,111.65. The meeting adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
