Operations Manager Shane Willis presented the proposals as part of the district’s long‑term traffic‑calming plan. Eric Long, PSGRC general manager, recommended moving an existing unit 20 to 30 yards after it logged roughly 800 varied speeding violations over a three‑week period; that move would require a pole purchase from Paramount Asphalt for about $1,200. Discussion covered the $150,000 traffic‑calming budget, PSGRC criteria for issuing warnings and fines, and one suggestion that the homeowners association assume cloud‑device costs and offset them with covenant traffic‑fine revenues.
The board approved the AV‑Tech estimates on a motion by Mr. Schultz, seconded by Mr. Blumenthal, with all in favor. Staff were directed to proceed with procurement and coordinate installation.
