River Ridge CDD adopts FY2025 budget, approves special assessments

The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors adopted its fiscal year 2024/2025 budget and a related special-assessments resolution at its Aug. 27 meeting.
District Manager Chuck Adams told the board that the version of the FY2025 budget in the agenda “is not correct,” and staff made scrivener corrections before the vote, including a corrected description for "Street sweeping." After the board opened and closed the public hearing with no members of the public speaking, the board adopted Resolution 2024‑07, adopting the annual appropriations for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2024, and authorizing budget amendments. The motion was made by Assistant Secretary Kurt Blumenthal and seconded by Assistant Secretary Robert Twombly and passed “with all in favor.”
The board then held a public hearing on Resolution 2024‑08, relating to the district’s special assessments for FY2024/2025. Counsel recommended the hearing; no property owners spoke. The board agreed to delete references to “Exhibit B” in the resolution text and, on a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly, adopted Resolution 2024‑08 as amended.
