Atlantic Beach officials said the town’s comprehensive-plan process will include three virtual open houses that mirror in-person sessions, a specially designed children’s visioning event on Aug. 15 and an interactive education open house on Aug. 13 that will explain development and approval processes.
A Plan Atlantic Beach representative told council members the survey is available online and in paper form, with QR codes and options to return printed copies to staff; residents and non-residents with an interest in Atlantic Beach were urged to participate. The representative said the children’s event (approximate ages three–14) will include maps, drawing activities and snacks.
Council subsequently authorized Town Manager Adrian Jones to enter a contract with Diamond Shores for comprehensive-plan and land-management updates, including master-plan work for 30th Avenue. The council voted unanimously to approve the contract authorization and directed staff to post schedules and materials online.
Staff noted a Planning Commission kickoff on Aug. 21 and asked residents to attend meetings. The Town Manager and planning staff will provide further public-engagement details on the town website.
