Silver Creek Township to send ordinance-warning letters after resident complaints

Silver Creek Township supervisors responded on Nov. 7 to several resident complaints about animals and property conditions by directing staff to send ordinance-warning letters to affected property owners.
During open forum, resident Brian Jones asked the board to take action regarding a neighboring property; the board added that item to new business. In new business supervisors directed staff to send a copy of the township dog ordinance to the owner identified in a downtown dog-running complaint. For complaints of accumulating vehicles at a property on 121st Street and of tires and junk at a property on 114th Street, staff will send letters with photos and a copy of the ordinance to the property owners.
No fines or further enforcement steps were recorded in the minutes; the actions documented are the issuance of warning letters and distribution of ordinance language to the owners.
