Silver Creek Township approves $500,000 in proposed 2025 road projects

Supervisor Ryan Nelson moved to approve $360,000 for asphalt work and $140,000 for chip seal; Vice Chairman Brandon Geyen seconded the motion, and it carried 5-0. The board directed maintenance staff to contact the township’s engineer to move the projects forward.
The approval follows separate maintenance reporting that the township received a county grant of $37,259.18 for the Gowan Ave project and that the county granted an extension for remaining funds allocated to the 134th Street culvert replacement. Board members did not set construction dates; maintenance will seek an expected completion date from the contractor and the engineer.
The vote was part of routine township business that also included approving minutes and disbursements. No public speaker opposed the road-budget motion during the meeting.
