The Butler Board of Education on Jan. 22 accepted the district’s 2024–25 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and approved a corrective action plan addressing a single auditor finding.
The board approved the Bills and Claims and Payroll Report covering $2,192,299.42 in expenditures and ratified $373,206.62 in drawn bills. The board also authorized Open Purchase Order Reports totaling $1,518,161.41 and approved routine month-end transfers and the secretary/treasurer reports certifying budget status.
The auditor’s management report prepared by Wielkotz & Company LLC noted Finding 2025-01: “Net cash resources did exceed three months average expenditure.” The board approved a corrective action plan intended to address the finding and recorded acceptance of the ACFR as part of the FIN 63–68 resolutions.
The finance motions were moved by A. Drucker and seconded by L. Grecco and carried on roll call with recorded yes votes by board members who were present. The motions formalized the district’s financial statements and authorized the business administrator to proceed per the approved corrective actions.
The board recorded no additional audit-related litigation or contingency directions at the meeting. Next procedural steps are implementation of the corrective action plan and any follow-up reporting required by the auditor and state authorities.
