Bridgeville council approved procurement and payment actions for sewer and roadway projects at its October meeting, including acceptance of a low bid for the borough’s annual sanitary sewer CCTV program and a partial contractor payment for Center Street sewer work.
Borough staff reported a post-agenda bid opening and recommended acceptance of the lowest responsible bidder for the 2024 sanitary sewer O&M CCTV program. The lowest bid was from Edge AI Solutions at $68,000, subject to the contractor providing required insurance certificates, performance and payment bonds and solicitor review before the agreement is executed.
Council also authorized the disbursement of $136,584 from the sewer fund to Jet Jack Inc. as partial payment No. 1 on the Center Street sanitary sewer improvements project. Council approved a separate disbursement of $10,630.05 from the capital project fund as partial/final payment on a roadway project and authorized Change Order No. 2, which decreased that project’s cost by $27,598.55.
Council members asked staff about vendor experience after noting that Edge AI Solutions is newer to the area; staff said the company has performed other work for the borough. The motions carried with the standard "all in favor" voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded on the transcript.
