Program approvals included Community Based Instruction (CBI) locations for Autistic, Multiply Disabled and Transition classes to support supervised life‑skills outings; a partnership between Bryant Elementary School and Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures to provide free dental health education at no cost to the district; a BMX Educational Assembly Program focused on anti‑bullying and perseverance (May 22, 2026, not to exceed $1,049; Title IV funded); and NED’s Kindness Adventure virtual assembly for April 14 at no cost to the district.
Personnel actions included certificated and non‑certificated appointments such as Stephen Torregrossa as Athletic Trainer at Teaneck High School (MA, Step 8, $75,720, effective March 30, 2026), multiple SACC aides and a SACC site supervisor, homebound bedside instruction contracts (LearnWell and Bergen County Special Services) with listed hourly rates and an aggregate homebound total of $10,752, and approvals for after‑school ESL instruction funded by Title III.
The board accepted settlement agreements involving two students. For Student ID#109183, the board approved payments to Shalshelet of $53,412 (2024‑25), $90,843.50 (2025‑26) and $90,843.50 (2026‑27). For Student ID#106541, the board approved payments to Shefa School of $70,000 (2025‑26), $73,500 (2026‑27) and $77,175 (2027‑28). The agenda lists these as Stipulation of Settlement approvals.
The board also accepted a Bergen County Department of Human Services grant of $66,410 for the FORUM/PASS juvenile delinquency prevention program for Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026, and approved multiple facility‑use requests and student field trips and fundraising activities as listed in the agenda.
