Teaneck board approves $4.05M in claims, $5.03M payroll and federal grant carryovers

Separately, the board authorized submission of amendments to the 2025–2026 IDEA and Title programs to appropriate carryover funds from 2024–2025: Title IA $52,232; Title IIA $86,914; Title III $30,373; Title III Immigrant $11,876; Title IV $50,294; IDEA Basic $94,110; IDEA Preschool $2,371. The amendments were presented as part of the Superintendent’s recommendation and recorded in the packet.
The board also approved contracts and expenditures included in the packet: a contract with Biagio’s and the Terrace to host the Teaneck High School Senior Awards Lunch (not to exceed $14,668.50), homebound bedside instruction contracts totaling $5,254.20, and the list of field trips and professional development shown in the finance packet (itemized costs and funding sources provided). The packet includes a detailed Monthly Transfer Report and a Treasurer’s Cash Report showing total cash across funds and a reconciled balance.
Approvals were recorded in the meeting materials; motions for finance items were made and seconded as listed in the packet. The board’s action preserves the district’s ability to pay operational obligations and proceed with approved programs funded by federal and district sources.
