At its May 4 meeting the Reinbeck City Council approved a set of administrative items and routine updates.
Council approved Resolution #2026-13R to transfer funds to pay upcoming obligations and Resolution #2026-14R to establish fees for mobile food vending units; both measures passed on unanimous roll-call votes. The council discussed a TIF re‑batement at 101 Progress Drive after the property changed hands and voted unanimously to cancel the re‑batement rather than extend it to the new owner.
Council accepted the resignation of Tina Lyon from the Library Board effective May 11, 2026 and approved two certifications of liens for unpaid utility accounts for filing with the County Treasurer; minutes note that the council requested shutoff repairs and that shutoff charges be assessed to property owners. Council also added curb and gutter on Main Street to the Capital Improvement Plan and approved three 'No Parking' signs on School Street.
The consent agenda — approved at the meeting — included April financial items and bills to be paid totaling $46,376.97. The bills list (detailed in the minutes) shows amounts and fund allocations; the largest single line item recorded was $22,998.76 for Precision Lawn Care. Routine park updates were reported, including Lions Club work on shelter-house screens and Corteva assisting with Elmwood Park projects.
