Chair Joe Hobelman presided as the board reviewed a rate study tied to Ordinance 26-1-1 (water) and Ordinance 26-1-2 (sewer). Board member Amanda Fangmeier moved to table consideration of both ordinances; board member Trent Wheatley seconded the motion, which carried. No vote tally was recorded beyond the board’s notation that the motion carried.
The tabling delays formal action until the board’s March 2 meeting so trustees can review the study, allow public comment and consider potential adjustments. The board did not adopt or amend either ordinance at the Feb. 2 session.
The postponement leaves the existing water and sewer rates in effect until the board reconsiders the ordinances. The clerk’s office noted the rate study is part of the meeting record and will inform the March discussion. The board declined to set a specific date for further public hearings beyond the March 2 meeting date.
