The Town of Central adopted Resolution 4-14205 on April 14, 2025, to tentatively award the Brock Street Waterline Replacement project to Gar K Con Khan Incorporated in the amount of $1,363,520.
Miss Chapman, reporting for enterprise and community engagement, said the water, sewer and sanitation departments completed 151 work orders in March. Meters were read on March 18, with rechecks on March 19; disconnects for nonpayment occurred March 26, with 43 customers disconnected and 31 later reconnected.
Council moved to adopt Resolution 4-14205 and the motion carried on a raised-hand vote. The resolution notes the low bid was within the budget set by the council.
Why it matters: the project replaces the Brock Street waterline, a capital infrastructure upgrade the council says is within the current budget. The awarded contract sets a projected construction price that will be administered by the town as the project advances.
Next steps: With the tentative award adopted, contract execution and scheduling will follow the town procurement and contracting process.
