The Wallkill Valley Regional High School Board on Oct. 28 approved personnel actions and revised its board goals to add a Life Long Learning Development (LLD) program for 18–21-year-old students.
Personnel approvals included a clinical field experience placement for Justin Pecoraro from William Paterson University; the placement is scheduled Jan. 22–May 13, 2026 and will be supervised by Megan Tobin. The board accepted with regret the resignation of Anmarie DeGiovanni as a fall cheerleading assistant, effective immediately, and later accepted the resignation of Elena Diaz, a math teacher, effective Nov. 10, 2025.
The board approved additions to the substitute teacher list (Caedon Jones, Cole Weekley and Christina Chernati, pending background checks) and conditionally approved the assistant boys basketball coaching appointment of Ken Mullins (Step 7; stipend $5,099), contingent on the season operating and prorated if the season is curtailed for public-health or emergency reasons.
In Old Business, the board and superintendent discussed 2025–2026 Board and District goals. The board removed Board Goal #3 (previously focused on improving and celebrating student achievement through consistent data analysis and recognition) and replaced it with an objective to begin an LLD program serving 18–21-year-old students.
