Pastor Allan Usher of Ab's House Ministries told the Cheraw Town Council on Sept. 10 that the ministry's Monday food pantry and meal program has grown and recently served 318 people.
Usher described the operation at 34 Founder Hill Road (the ministry's renovated site), said six churches and other volunteers support weekly meals and a pregnancy-support program, and listed upcoming events: a coat drive Oct. 20, a "Thankful Monday" meal before Thanksgiving planned to serve 500 people, and a Christmas distribution on Dec. 23. Usher asked local churches and civic groups for help with supplies and volunteers and confirmed Ab's House is a 501(c)(3).
Donation instructions provided at the meeting listed P.O. Box 639, Ab's House Ministries, Cheraw, South Carolina. Usher emphasized the ministry purchases supplies locally when possible and asked supporters not to leave money unattended but to drop off boxes or supplies at the ministry location.
