According to the selectmen’s report, the grant will be used to complete the sidewalk from River Lane to the Landing and to extend pedestrian connectivity from Adams to the liquor store on the eastern side of Main Street. The announcement did not include an implementation timeline or construction schedule.
The downtown planning work cited at the meeting is funded through American Rescue Plan Act funds and was presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission by Zoning Compliance Officer Zoe Chatfield; the Community Connectivity Grant is a separate DOT award.
