Wallkill Valley board approves $1.2 million in bills, signs Hudl streaming, maintenance and service contracts

The Wallkill Valley Regional High School Board on Aug. 26 approved a revised bills manifest of $1,198,904.60, multiple service contracts including a $21,506.40 Hudl sports-streaming agreement, a $4,715.88 boiler maintenance contract and ongoing disposal services, and certified month-end financial reports.
The Wallkill Valley Regional High School Board of Education approved a revised register of bills totaling $1,198,904.60 and several contracts and transportation agreements during its Aug. 26 regular meeting at the high school in Hardyston Township.
Board members accepted the Board Secretary's financial reports showing cash balances of $2,102,904.94 as of June 30, 2025 and $3,465,205.45 as of July 31, 2025, and certified that, per N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-16.10, no line-item accounts were over-expended as of those dates.
The Finance committee items approved by the Board included a contract with Agile Sports Technologies Inc., doing business as Hudl, to provide streaming services for sporting events at a cost of $21,506.40 (contract period Aug. 22, 2025'Dec. 29, 2026), and a boiler maintenance contract with East Coast Combustion Specialists, Inc., for $4,715.88 (06/15/25'06/14/26).
The district also approved a monthly garbage and recycling contract with Blue Diamond Disposal at $1,709.97 per month and authorized a purchase from Brady Plus for an ice machine priced at $8,309.63 to support the sports program. The Board approved joint transportation contracts for the 2025-2026 school year, including a Hardyston shared service contract with a total cost reported as $65,000.
Special-education-related items included Child Study Team placements and tuition/paraprofessional costs: a student placement charging $267.86 per day for tuition and the same for a paraprofessional (for ESY services), and another placement with a total reported cost of $44,664.00 (including $6,381.00 for extended school year and $38,283.00 for the regular school year).
The Board approved submission of the FY2026 ESEA Application to the New Jersey Department of Education with the following entitlements: Title I $83,633; Title IIa $13,908; and Title IV $10,000. The Board also approved the FY2025 IDEA and FY2025 ESEA final report submissions and declined the FY2026 ESEA Title III Immigrant entitlement of $1,938.
The Board recorded these items in the public minutes and placed the regular register on file in the Office of the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary. The meeting adjourned at 9:08 p.m.
