Mayor Aaron Ash on May 11 announced that Paul Beckley has been selected as Campobello’s new Director of Planning and Communications and is expected to begin in September. Council also announced the hiring of the town’s first dedicated maintenance employee to centralize maintenance duties previously shared among departments.
Ash said Beckley is a Campobello resident and retired U.S. Navy lieutenant colonel who most recently worked with NATO in Brussels; the council said further background will be presented in a future meeting. Officials also recognized Interim Town Administrator Trey Eubanks for extended service and invited attendees to a reception honoring his contributions.
Next steps: staff will complete onboarding for the Director of Planning position in the coming months and integrate the maintenance employee into town operations.
