Owens Cross Roads Mayor Tony Craig called the meeting to order and moved that the council go into executive session.
"I'd like to make a motion that we go into executive session," Mayor Tony Craig said. A second was recorded, and the council chair called for the vote. When asked, the clerk said, "All in favor," and the motion carried.
The clerk conducted a roll call earlier in the meeting: Councilman Dan Arvidsson, Councilwoman Elizabeth Craig, Councilman Scott Baker and Councilwoman Jennifer Little were recorded present; Councilman Cloud Lang was noted as out. Mayor Tony Craig was recorded present during roll call.
Before departing for the closed session, Mayor Craig said he would "secure the technical" and suggested the council should resume in either roughly "30 minutes or 5 minutes at the moment," language the clerk characterized as a maximum of 30 minutes. The council went into executive session with no public tally of individual votes recorded in the transcript beyond the clerk's affirmation that the motion passed.
The council left the public meeting to meet in executive session and planned to reconvene after addressing technical matters and completing the closed-session business.
