The Village of Larchmont Board of Trustees on Feb. 4 approved a set of routine but consequential administrative items: the 2025–26 recreation fees and charges, two tax certiorari settlement stipulations, and the payment of current bills.
Recreation: Staff presented the proposed 2025–26 recreation fees, including four new nonresident fees for tennis/pickleball passes and a modest increase to the six‑week summer camp fee (stated in the meeting as rising from $12.50 to $14.50). Staff said fees were benchmarked against comparable municipalities; trustees asked clarifying questions about resident vs. nonresident permit costs.
Tax certiorari settlements: Administrator presented two minor certiorari settlements with refunds described in the meeting as roughly $1,500 and $1,300; the board authorized the administrator to sign stipulations of settlement.
Bills and payments: Trustee Pare presented bills (job ID 389750) and recommended payment of $903,471.86, which trustees approved. He also reported already paid bills totaling $1,262,365.13, which the board examined and approved as in order.
Swearing‑in: As part of the meeting’s reports the police chief introduced Mike (Michael) Jankorell and the mayor administered the oath of office; the chief outlined Jankorell’s background including prior NYPD service and selection as a motorcycle officer before his promotion to detective in Larchmont.
All motions described above were moved, seconded and carried by unanimous vote as recorded in the meeting transcript.
