The Village of Larchmont Board of Trustees on Feb. 4 adopted Local Law No. 1‑2025, a minor amendment to the zoning code intended to clarify the timing of decisions following the close of a public hearing on site‑plan applications.
Officials described the ordinance as a technical cleanup to clarify administrative timing and said the board issued a negative declaration under SEQRA (not expected to result in significant adverse environmental impact). No public comments were offered during the hearing.
The mayor moved for adoption, the motion was seconded and trustees voted unanimously in favor. Trustees characterized the change as procedural and limited to clarifying language in the zoning chapter related to the date of a public hearing.
The new local law takes effect per normal municipal procedures; no appeals, variances or application changes were discussed during the adoption.
The action is procedural in nature but clarifies the administrative record for future site‑plan reviews and helps staff and applicants understand decision timing following public hearings.
