Collings Lakes board swears in two Tier 2 representatives, approves online posting of minutes

The Collings Lakes Civic Association on Oct. 7 appointed two new Tier 2 representatives and changed its minutes policy. President Steve Slimm swore in Don(ald) Watson and David Blair after the board held roll-call votes to confirm their appointments. A roll call for Watson was recorded as unanimous; the roll for Blair recorded Don Saunders, Donna Sutts and Beth Anderson as Yes and Lynn Veneziale as No, and the board approved him to the seat.
Donna Sutts moved that David Blair assume the role of secretary; Donovan (Don) Saunders seconded the motion. The board approved the secretary appointment by roll call, after which Blair accepted the position.
The board also voted to stop reading the prior meeting’s minutes aloud to save meeting time and to publish minutes and attachments online instead. Beth Anderson moved the change and Donovan Saunders seconded; the roll-call vote carried with a single No from Lynn Veneziale.
The appointments and the minutes-policy change followed a special meeting convened earlier to address recent resignations from the board and to ensure sufficient trustees for operations. The special meeting also authorized funds for election supplies ahead of upcoming nominations.
