The Borough of Ramsey on Sept. 24 confirmed two public-works contract awards as part of its consent resolutions.
Borough officials said Resolution 164 confirms the Board of Public Works’ award to Shaw Property Services (low bidder) for the Phase Three lead service-line replacement project in the amount of $399,777. The administrator said funding for this work was previously provided by ordinance 1520 (as noted in the meeting record).
Resolution 165 confirms the award to Conquest Construction, Inc. for the Snyder Avenue water-main replacement project in the amount of $750,230, the borough administrator reported. The Board of Public Works solicited sealed bids for the project; Conquest was the low bidder and the board approved the award at its Sept. 15 meeting.
Council approved the full consent agenda (resolutions 161–172, 2025) by roll-call vote during the regular meeting. The administrator said both contracts had bidders with prior experience completing similar borough projects.
Why it matters: The lead service-line replacement work is part of the borough’s state-mandated multi-year program to remove lead from water service lines; the Snyder Avenue main project is a proactive upgrade to undersized water mains. Both projects were previously funded through ordinance appropriations, and these council confirmations enable contract execution and project scheduling.
