Separately, Mayor Dave Buonviri said Vereen Tree Service will clear drains as storms approach and that an emergency work permit to unclog the outflow of White Point Swash is pending but cannot be executed until Nov. 1 because it is sea turtle season and in-water work is restricted. The mayor also noted the new camera contract will provide a work-study presentation by Coastal Carolina University.
Chief Lamparter also discussed right-of-way clearing and routine maintenance coordination with Santee Cooper and other utilities.
