The St. Charles City Council voted Jan. 20, 2026 to adopt the Comprehensive Plan 2002 Update 2026, called "Guiding STC," after a brief presentation by Planning Manager and Assistant Director of Community Development John Boyer. The resolution passed by roll call and was approved by the mayor on Jan. 21, 2026.
Boyer provided a short overview of the plan update and its objectives; councilmembers listed as sponsors included Bill Otto, Mark Hollander, Vince Ratchford, Mary West, Denise Mitchell, Justin Foust, Brian Gould, Michael Galba, Bart Haberstroh and Steve Hollander. The minutes record unanimous council support during the meeting.
