Jonesville council approves FY 2024-25 budget amendments and $224,748.41 in September payables

At its Sept. 17 meeting, the Jonesville City Council approved final Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget amendments and several routine finance items, including two accounts-payable approvals totaling more than $311,000 combined.
Councilmember Brenda Guyse moved, and Dean Adair II seconded, approval of the final FY 2024-25 budget amendments; the motion carried with all council members voting in favor. The council received the annual budget comparison for FY 2024-25 for review.
The council also voted to cast its ballot for two candidates to the Michigan Municipal League (MML) Liability and Property Pool Board of Directors after a motion by Guyse and support from George Humphries Jr. The quarterly statement for the Jonesville Freedom Memorial was provided to council members for review.
On accounts payable, the council approved payments for September 2025 totaling $224,748.41 on a motion by Andy Penrose, seconded by Dean Adair II. Separately, the council approved accounts payable for March in the amount of $86,469.85 on a motion by George Humphries Jr., seconded by Brenda Guyse; the minutes note that Gerry Arno and Chris Grider were absent for the March motion. The minutes do not attach the detailed voucher list or vendor breakdowns.
The meeting concluded with department head updates; Mayor Gerry Arno adjourned the meeting at 7:24 p.m.
