Staff said the quarterly amendment increases transparency by moving to more frequent amendments. During the required public hearing on the budget amendment, no members of the public spoke.
On the Linden Elementary roof item, staff said the section of roof covered by the resolution had exceeded its life expectancy (originally projected 15–20 years) and is currently about 26 years old. Council asked whether extended warranty options had been considered; staff said they would pass the question along to the schools and could return with an amended resolution if required.
Both items passed by voice vote with no opposition. Council recorded clarifying questions about acronyms in the budget packet (BOA = Bank of America) and noted staff follow‑up as needed.
Next steps: staff will coordinate with the school system about warranty options and finalize procurement for the roof project.
