Riverside board approves grants, contracts, capital withdrawals and multiple personnel actions

The Riverside Township Board of Education approved a package of grants, contracts, personnel actions and capital expenditures during a July 11 regular meeting in the elementary cafeteria.
Financial and contract approvals included: formal amendment of the June 6 minutes to record the Nutri‑Serve Food Management contract total cost of $684,244.58; authorization to submit the IDEA FY2025 application for $438,101 (plus $12,063 for Preschool); approval of ESEA/ESSA applications including Title I‑A $409,270 and the other Title allocations listed in the agenda; and approval of a $124,806 withdrawal from Capital Reserve to fund classroom renovation in room B02. The board also approved Change Order #2 for Bond Referendum Project #2 in the amount of $219,012 to renovate Team Room 158, ECC Corridor and the Nurse’s Suite Bathroom.
On personnel and services, the board approved agreements to secure registered nurse services from Bayada Nursing for 2024–25 and Bayada Home Health Care for Extended School Year services for a specified student. The board appointed Dr. Jonathan Wiseman as the school doctor at $15,000 per year and named Jonathan Gazaway Website Accessibility Coordinator. The board accepted several resignations and retirements and approved multiple new hires and reassignments, including Stacy Hultquist as Elementary School Assistant Principal at a contract salary of $90,000 and Nicole Potts as a 12‑month Child Study Team Administrative Assistant at $56,778.
Other personnel actions approved included tuition reimbursements to multiple staff (amounts listed in the agenda), curriculum-writing hours at $33.53 per hour, stipend and extra‑curricular positions (e.g., Marching Band $3,146; Boys JV Basketball coach $6,813), and High‑Impact Tutor appointments at $53.46 per hour (maximum 60 hours per tutor) funded by grant dollars.
All recorded motions were carried unanimously. Most motions were moved and seconded by board members listed in the agenda (for example, many motions were moved by Mrs. Sierra and seconded by Mrs. R.
