Board approves hires, rescissions and coaching assignments; multiple salary adjustments

On Nov. 14 the Riverside Township Board of Education approved a series of personnel and athletic appointments as part of its consent agenda.
Personnel actions included rescinding a substitute-contract appointment for Laura Bruzek and appointing her instead as a Fall After School Academy teacher at $53.46 per hour; rescinding the contract for Boys Basketball Head Coach Daryl Hatfield; and reassigning Megan Stackhouse from ES Café Aide to ES Ambulatory Aide (start Nov. 15) at an hourly rate of $21.68.
The board approved five new staff members for 2024–25: Kelly Ford James (part-time basic skills aide, $28.44/hr, start Nov. 21); Jessica Daddino (part-time preschool aide, $28.01/hr, start Nov. 20); Rebecca Healy (special education teacher, contract salary $67,549, start pending criminal-history review); William Robinson (elementary café aide, $18.18/hr, start Nov. 15); and Brittany Maderia (half-time band teacher, contract salary $33,775 prorated, start Nov. 25).
Coaching approvals included Boys Basketball Head Coach Robert Johnson ($9,127) and several middle-school coaches. The board also rescinded a stipend for Cinnaminson-contracted bus driver David Foster for sports trips and approved multiple retroactive salary adjustments for part-time aides and a step change for HS Math teacher George Postell.
All personnel items were approved by unanimous vote; many motions were moved by Mrs. Winering and seconded by Mrs. M. Pinho.
