Woodstown council approves broad consent agenda, authorizes grants and water-bill payment

On Jan. 27, 2026, the Woodstown Borough Council approved a multi-item consent agenda covering 17 listed matters and carried several routine financial actions.

On a motion by Jesse Stemberger, seconded by Heather Bobbitt, the council approved the consent agenda by roll-call vote; Jaclyn Morris recorded an abstention on item 1 (approval of the Dec. 30, 2025 minutes). The consent items included authorizations to apply for a Local Recreation Improvement Grant and the FY26 LEAP Implementation Grant, renewal in the Statewide Insurance Fund, acceptance of a Rotary Club donation of two grills for Watson's Park, a change order and final payment actions for Lenegan Plumbing & Heating LLC related to water meter installation, adoption of the borough's Community Vision Statement, transfer of funds and various administrative approvals.

In finance actions, the council moved to pay bills. The council also approved a water bond payment in the amount of $9,408.00 to TD Bank by wire transfer on a motion made by Heather Bobbitt and seconded by Glenn Merkle; Jaclyn Morris abstained on the bond payment. The minutes do not list individual roll-call votes for each consent-item resolution, but record the consent agenda action and the abstention noted above.

Other items approved under consent included acceptance of the Tax Collector's December 2025 report, acceptance of Reliance Fire Company's 2025 summary report, approval of junior member Jack Thomas Bucksar to the Reliance Fire Company, and acceptance of a proposal from Sickels & Associates for the 2026 NJDOT Municipal Aid project for Rose Drive roadway improvements.
