Board adopts $20.6 million tax schedule, renews food-service and therapy contracts

The Woodland Park Board of Education on May 11 approved the district’s 2026–27 tax schedule and several vendor contracts tied to student services and food operations.

The board ratified a monthly tax schedule totaling $20,623,272 for the 2026–27 school year, structured as 12 equal monthly payments of $1,718,606 beginning July 1, 2026. The schedule was approved by roll call as part of the finance consent motion.

The board also approved renewal of the food-service management contract with The Pomptonian, Inc. for 2026–27. The minutes record an administrative/management fee of $0.2439 per reimbursable meal and meal equivalent; the total estimated cost of the contract was listed as $674,908.77. The contract language in the minutes notes that the number of total meals will be calculated from reimbursable meals and meal equivalents and that there is no guaranteed financial performance clause in the minutes’ summary.

In special-education support, the board approved contracts with Innovative Therapy Group to provide occupational-therapy services for ESY at $84 per hour (not to exceed 12 hours per week) and for the 2026–27 school year at the same hourly rate (not to exceed 40 hours per week). The board also approved an out-of-district ESY placement for student ID#34634 at BCSS – HIP – MP‑Highland with a listed cost of $6,850 (excluding transportation).

These finance motions passed by roll call. The district’s Business Administrator noted the successful nutrition-program administrative review with no findings, and the board approved an interim BA contract with School Office Solutions for $150/hour as a contingency for July 2026–June 2027.

What’s next: The Pomptonian contract will be implemented for the 2026–27 school year; total cost and per‑meal billings will be reconciled monthly according to contract provisions.
