Woodland Park Board ratifies police shared-services contracts, grant-funded staffing and home-instruction contracts

At its March 2, 2026 workshop the Woodland Park Board of Education approved several finance and contract items, including interlocal shared-services agreements to provide school-class officers, grant-funded staffing charges and home-instruction provider contracts.
The board ratified an Interlocal Shared Services Agreement with the Borough of Woodland Park for a Special Class II officer for the 2025–2026 school year at an annual cost to the board of $31,226.89. It also ratified an agreement to provide four Special Class III officers at an annual cost to the board of up to $25,706.65 each, for a combined total of up to $102,826.60. Those approvals were recorded in resolution entries 226-251 and 226-252 and were included in the finance motion approved by roll call 8–0.
The board approved charging Summer Academic Program staff salaries totaling $28,224 to the 2026 ESEA Title I account (resolution 226-253) and authorized charging listed part-time aides’ salaries to Title I funding (resolution 226-254). The minutes list individual staff names and salary amounts for the Title I charges; the total for Summer Academic Program staff is listed as $28,224.
The board ratified charging multiple lunch-aide salaries for Sept. 1–Dec. 31, 2025 to the District’s Food Service Fund (Fund 60), listing individual salary amounts by employee name. The board also ratified contracts for home instruction: CCBH, Inc. to provide home instruction for student ID#34266 at $99/hr., up to 10 hours per week (retroactive to Feb. 2, 2026 through June 30, 2026), and LearnWell to provide educational instruction for student ID#33358 at $63/hr. with 1 hour of prep for every 3 hours of instruction, effective 2/23/2026–approx. 3/25/2026 (resolution 226-256 and 226-257).
These finance and contract approvals were part of a single finance motion moved by Shannon Marren and seconded by Gina McQuin; roll-call vote was 8–0. The board previewed the items slated for its March 16 regular meeting but took no additional action at the workshop.
