Resident asks about 2016 ethics complaint and missing As-Built surveys; administrator seeks 60 days to collect files

During public comment at the Borough of Rockleigh Mayor and Council meeting on Feb. 2, resident Rob Ferretti (36 Piermont Road) asked whether the council was aware of any ethics complaints filed against the Planning Board in 2016, which he said were referenced in a 2016 Planning Board audio recording. Mayor James Pontone, who said he was a councilman in 2016, responded that he had no recollection of any complaints.
Ferretti also asked for a status update on missing As-Built surveys for properties identified as non-compliant following Planning Board applications. Borough Administrator William J. McGuire said he is attempting to locate the missing As-Builts, told the council that two residents are in the process of securing those surveys, and noted that several outstanding requests predated his employment. McGuire stated that 60 days would be a reasonable timeframe for applicants to provide the missing As-Built surveys.
The council opened and closed public comment without additional action recorded at the meeting; no formal finding or documentation of a 2016 ethics complaint was produced during the hearing.
