The Rochelle Park Board of Education voted Aug. 27 to accept multiple funding awards and approve vendor payments and transportation agreements.
Business Administrator Dr. James Riley read financial resolutions that included acceptance of the IDEA awards for 2024–25 (IDEA‑Basic $132,776; IDEA‑Preschool $5,648), reimbursement of nonpublic school transportation costs for 2023–24 ($32,305) and Extraordinary Aid for 2024–25 ($541,094). Dr. Riley read the payment-of-bills resolutions showing a total of $761,066.35 (Aug. 6) and $539,179.04 (Aug. 27).
The board approved joint transportation agreements naming Maywood, Elmwood Park and the South Bergen Jointure Commission (SBJC) as host districts for specified routes (costs and route details listed as TBA in the resolutions) and authorized a required $45,000 deposit to SBJC.
Capital project items moved in the consent block: the board approved PGD Contracting as a vendor and a flooring proposal for classroom and hallway molding for $7,650. It also approved payment applications to Badger Roofing for completed work in the amounts of $143,100 and $87,300.
All listed finance resolutions and vendor payments were approved as part of the consent motions (roll call recorded as 5–0).
