The consent package, approved on a motion by Councilmember James Hackett and seconded by Jesse Stemberger, included the minutes of the May 12 and May 26 meetings, Resolution 2026-60 authorizing partial cancellation and refund of taxes for a total disabled veteran identified as Zito, and the Tax Collector’s May report. The council also approved a request by Patricia and Talore Hooker to use Watson’s Park for a family gathering of about 20 people on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., with bathroom access.
Councilmember Hackett moved, and Stemberger seconded, the consent motion; the roll-call vote was recorded as unanimous among members present (Bertha Hyman, Jaclyn Morris, James Hackett, Jesse Stemberger and Glenn Merkle). Heather Bobbitt was absent.
On finance matters, the council also approved payment of bills on a separate motion by Hackett, seconded by Stemberger. Hackett told colleagues he had met with the chair of the WBMUA; council members were reminded that the final adoption of the borough budget is scheduled for the June 23, 2026 meeting.
The meeting opened at 7 p.m. and adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
