Woodland Park Board approves $29.13 million 2026–27 budget, okays $500,000 for school roof work

The Woodland Park Board of Education adopted its final 2026–27 budget on April 29, approving $29,134,835 in total expenditures and authorizing $20,623,272 in local tax levies.
The motion to adopt the budget was made by Board member Andrew Mingione and seconded by Board member Julissa Rodriguez; the roll call vote was 7–0. The board listed General Fund expenditures of $24,519,756, Special Revenue of $4,111,329 and Debt Service of $503,750. Anticipated revenues total $8,511,563.
Board members said the budget had been reviewed with district administrators during the public budget hearing; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. The budget presentation was delivered by Business Administrator Aleksandar Kondovski and Superintendent Michele Pillari.
In separate but related votes the board approved a $500,000 withdrawal from Capital Reserve for a partial roof replacement at Charles Olbon School (motion by Shannon Marren, seconded by Andrew Mingione, roll call 7–0) and added $339,366 to the final budget to cover increased health benefit premiums (motion by Julissa Rodriguez, seconded by Gina McQuin, roll call 7–0). The board also authorized travel and related expense reimbursements up to a $60,000 maximum for the 2026–27 school year; the board noted $550 had been expended so far this year (motion by Julissa Rodriguez, seconded by Gina McQuin, roll call 7–0).
