Resident Liam Brick urges council to approve vendors so housing buyouts can move forward

"In voting to approve these vendors, the city council will allow the process to continue, meaning we'll be able to move on from the house and into a new place of our lives together," Brick said, describing more than three years living in displacement and urging the council to avoid holiday-related delays.
Brick identified himself as a resident at 1079 Wilson Avenue and thanked the council for prior sympathy and engagement on the project. He asked that the council keep the project a priority and expedite contract reviews and legal approvals so households can complete moves.
The council acknowledged the comment during the citizen-participation portion of the meeting; no formal action on vendor approval was recorded on Nov. 10. The City Manager noted that contracts will require legal review before final approval.
