Millington Township’s board adopted changes to employee leave and pay rules and approved an employee contract at the March 17 meeting.
The board agreed to frontload 40 hours of Earned Sick Time/Paid Time Off (ESTA) for the administrative assistant and the two cemetery sextons. Volunteer firefighters will accrue ESTA time; the deputy treasurer, deputy clerk and cleaning person were recorded as not eligible. S. Keinath presented an employee contract, which the board later approved by motion.
On overtime, the board voted to pay the administrative assistant time-and-a-half for hours worked past 4 p.m. rather than providing compensatory time. The motion passed unanimously.
