Millington Township approves Irish Road repairs, signs off on $229,456 in bills and fund balances

At its March 17 meeting, the Millington Township board voted to proceed with road work on Irish Road between Birch Run Road and Barnes Road and approved payment of presented bills totaling $229,456.36.
The motion to approve the Irish Road work passed unanimously. Earlier in the meeting the board approved payment of general, fire, police, refuse, Murphy Lake, and tax collection bills that together summed to $229,456.36. The board recorded the fund balance report for the period ending Feb. 28, 2025: general fund $404,005.55; fire fund $128,662.56 (plus $39,113.88 in sweep money); police $168,504.63; tax collection fund $885,566.36; and other funds as presented.
No public questions were recorded about the road project or the treasurer’s report at the meeting.
