Millington Township approves $413,634 in bills, confirms Dec. 31 fund balances and adopts Arthur Latham Park budget

The Millington Township Board voted Jan. 20 to approve payment of bills totaling $413,634.29 and accepted the treasurer’s report showing township fund balances as of Dec. 31, 2024.
Supervisor R. Loomis called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. and the board moved, seconded and carried to accept the Dec. 16, 2024 meeting minutes. The board then approved disbursements as presented; the motion’s recorded Aye votes included Jaruzel, Sabgash, Green, Keinath and Loomis and there were no Nays.
The treasurer reported fund balances ending Dec. 31, 2024 that were entered into the record: General $437,905.37; Cemetery Trust Fund $2,102.02; Fire $125,076.22 (plus $39,111.92 sweep); Police $206,199.88; Refuse $(91,115.98); Murphy Lake Weed Control $13,235.20; Capital Projects and other trust accounts totaling additional balances; and Tax Collection Fund $582,157.62. The packet lists a combined total of $1,331,570.72 (with a separate MIF sweep amount of $39,111.92).
Separately, the board unanimously approved the proposed 2025–26 budget for Arthur Latham Park after a motion by S. Keinath and support by the board. The action was recorded as passed with no Nays.
The meeting’s minutes and financial figures were entered into the record; the board did not raise any further amendments to the adopted park budget at that meeting.
