Millington Township board approves $2,500 for video equipment, pays $69,596 in bills

The Millington Township Board voted Oct. 21 to allocate up to $2,500 for the purchase and installation of video equipment for broadcasting and archiving public township board meetings. The motion, made by S. Keinath and supported by L. Jaruzel, passed unanimously.
The board also approved payment of bills presented at the meeting totaling $69,596.15 across the General, Fire, Police and Refuse funds. Supervisor R. Loomis moved the motion to pay the bills, which carried with all members voting aye.
Treasurer’s figures reviewed by the board show combined fund balances reported for Sept. 30, 2024 (totaling the amounts listed in the minutes). Members accepted the treasurer’s report during the meeting.
Other routine actions included approval of the agenda (with a rearrangement of public-comment speakers) and acceptance of both the Sept. 16 regular meeting minutes (with a clarified addition to the Zoning Administrator duties) and the Sept. 23 special meeting minutes. The board also approved a request by the Lions Club to use the fire hall or township parking lot on Oct. 31 to distribute cider and donuts.
Supervisor R. Loomis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.; the meeting adjourned at 7:51 p.m.
