The Millington Township Board approved payment of $93,535.29 in bills at its July 15, 2024 regular meeting, adopting a motion by Clerk Jackie Sabgash with support from S. Keinath.
The board-recorded distribution of the expenditures was: General $47,338.90; Fire $13,068.63; Police $1,017.16; Refuse $26,831.27; and Murphy Lake Weed Control $5,279.33. The motion to pay bills was recorded as having ayes from Keinath, Jaruzel, Sabgash and Supervisor R. Loomis and carried without opposition.
During the same presentation the board received a Treasurer’s report showing township fund balances ending June 30, 2024. The minutes list a combined total of $1,075,112.80 across ledger and designated accounts, with an additional $39,106.01 in market savings. Reported line items included the General fund ($394,383.63), Police ($324,300.60), Fire ($160,368.18), Refuse ($95,710.10) and the Murphy Lake Weed Control account ($23,791.20), along with smaller capital and trust accounts.
No members of the public spoke during the public comment period. The board moved on to other agenda items after the finance presentation.
