Montrose council approves amended MOU with Clio, shortens termination to immediate
Summary
After consultation with DPW staff, the council approved an amended memorandum of understanding with the City of Clio that changes the termination clause from 90 days to immediate termination; the motion carried unanimously.
Interim City Manager Bob Naumann told the council that following conversations with the DPW supervisor and others, the city sought to change line 7 of the memorandum of understanding with the City of Clio to allow immediate termination rather than a 90-day notice period. Todd Pangle moved to accept the amended MOU; Mayor Pro-Tem Mark Richard seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Naumann recommended approval based on DPW operational concerns raised by Sam Spence and another staff member named Neil. The council approved the amendment without further modification and recorded the vote as unanimous in the minutes.
